The Exam Application
Getting the application process right the first time is critical to getting a quick test date. If not filled out correctly, an application will be returned for corrections resulting in delays to the exam date.
Our trained experts at License Instruction Schools can help prepare your application, providing you with the assurance that your application has been completed correctly. License Instruction Schools offer these application services as part of our exam preparation programs or to individuals who just need assistance with the application.
The State Application Fee
For an Original Contractors License, the Contractors State Board requires a non-refundable application fee of $450 which is sent along with the completed application form a license fee of either $200.00 (sole Owner) or $350.00( Partnership, Corporation, LLC) will need to be paid after taking and passing the exam.
The application for each additional classification is $230.00.
The Application for Original Contractors License (7065 exam Waiver) is used in instances where someone may already be licensed and wants to qualify a sperate new license in the same classification or will changed the entity of the company IE. Change from sole owner to Corporation or LLC.
Certification of Work Experience
The Certificate of Work Experience is required as part of the application process to report and confirm the journeyman level work experience requirement. This form is included when submitting an Application for Original Contractor’s License, Application for Additional Classification.
Enrollment
Once enrolled one of our representatives will reach out to you to discuss your enrollment and what application is needed to complete your transaction. We will then email an enrollment agreement via PANDADOC to finish the enrollment and submit a copy of the blank application to the client in PDF format.
